Roles with purpose

Give each person the access their work needs.

Role-based access helps make responsibilities understandable. Keep membership changes deliberate and make sure privileged actions have an accountable owner.

01

Use clear workspace roles

Assign owner, administrator, compliance manager, contributor, auditor or viewer access based on the work to be done.

02

Keep account protection visible

The client workspace requires authenticator-based multi-factor authentication before workspace access.

03

Record membership changes

Invite, deactivate or update member access through controlled workspace actions.

Review access

Turn a list of accounts into a documented decision.

A periodic access review gives a reviewer a moment to confirm that the right people still need the access they have. Record the decision and follow up on changes that are needed.

01

Set a review period

Create a review with a clear start and end date.

02

Decide retain or revoke

Capture the review outcome and complete the review so revocations are applied.

Know the boundaries

Keep the access program honest about what it covers.

Auditstead currently manages access to its own client workspace and supports recorded membership reviews. It does not connect to your identity provider, inventory employee devices, or automate joiner and leaver workflows.

01

Start with workspace access

Review Auditstead organization members and their assigned roles.

02

Keep broader assets in their source of truth

Use your existing device and identity systems for inventories and automated lifecycle changes.

Good questions

A few things to know.

Clear answers make it easier to decide what belongs in your process.

Does Auditstead track laptops or mobile devices?

No. Device inventory and endpoint monitoring are not currently part of the product.

Does Auditstead automatically remove access when someone leaves?

No. Workspace administrators can deactivate a membership, and a completed access review can apply a revocation decision. Identity-provider offboarding automation is not available.

Can we require MFA?

The client workspace requires users to enroll and verify authenticator-based MFA before accessing an organization.
