Make the work visible

Start with the work your team actually owns.

A readiness program is a set of operating practices, not a folder of templates. Give control records a clear status, owner and next step so the team can see what needs attention.

01

Track controls

Record the control, its current state and the person responsible for moving it forward.

02

Keep policy decisions clear

Maintain policy revisions and record approval by someone other than the current author.

03

Review vendors deliberately

Keep a vendor's service, data types, risk level, owner and review date together.

Build a steady rhythm

Small, recorded reviews beat a last-minute scramble.

Set a cadence your team can sustain. Regular access checks, policy approvals and vendor reviews create a more useful record of how the program operates over time.

01

Run access reviews

Capture a review period, decisions and follow-up actions for workspace members.

02

Preserve the activity trail

Use the append-only workspace history to follow key changes and decisions.

Prepare with your auditor

Be ready to explain what is in scope and how it works.

Auditstead supports readiness work. Your organization still defines its system boundary, operates its controls and works with an independent CPA firm for an examination and report.

01

Agree on the scope

Discuss service commitments, systems and relevant Trust Services Criteria with your auditor.

02

Show the operating record

Organize control statuses, policy approvals, vendor reviews, access decisions and activity history for review.

Good questions

A few things to know.

Clear answers make it easier to decide what belongs in your process.

Does Auditstead issue a SOC 2 report?

No. An independent CPA firm performs the examination and issues the report. Auditstead is a workspace for organizing readiness activities and records.

Does using the workspace make our organization compliant?

No. Your organization defines and operates its controls. A platform can help organize that work, but it cannot replace implementation, evidence, an auditor's judgment or a report.

Does Auditstead automatically collect evidence from our tools?

Automatic integrations are not currently available. The current product focuses on workspace records, reviews, policies and audit history; evidence uploads remain disabled while scanning and backup controls are completed.
